The newest addition to our alpaca herd doing great. Baby must have slept soundly with momma and the rest of the girls protectively surrounding him. Baby is walking steadily, curious, and suckling like a pro. 
In the meantime, Homer is running up and down the fence line barking incessantly. The herd looks at him like he’s nuts. They now know the labs are not a threat as whenever we let them into the pasture all the dogs want to do is eat from the dung pile. Needless to say, we don’t let them in very often.
Every time I called him back into the house this morning, Homer drank some water and when I wasn’t looking, sneaked through the dog door. Eventually, he wore himself out and there’s quiet again on Webb Acres.
